Discipline and faith in the players, and getting former reps to assist him has been Nadroga head coach Esala Nauga's recipe in keeping the BSP Farebrother Sullivan trophy in the past four challenges.

Speaking to Fijivillage Sports Nauga revealed that to win on the field they have to start off well with their preparations and one key area is to have a disciplined team off the field where he has laid down the rules to his players that anyone found consuming kava and alcohol will be dropped from the team for the season.

The former national rep adds the decision to bring in some former Nadroga reps was made after the 12 all draw with Northland as it was important to get advice from some of the key players in the province who have kept the Farebrother for 9 years in a row as their presence will always boost this new generation of players.

Nauga said most of his players were not born when Nadroga dominated the rugby competitions in Fiji in the 70's but the presence of the former players plays a big part.

This Saturday Nadroga will be defending the BSP Farebrother Sullivan trophy for the 5th time against Lautoka at 3.30pm and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station Viti FM.
