One of the major weaknesses witnessed in the double-header between Nadroga and Navosa yesterday was the lack of discipline which resulted in three yellow cards being issued.

Speaking to Legend FM sports former IRB administrator Frank Boivert said that the standard of referring in the country has improved dramatically and players need to act accordingly.

Boivert added that coaches should also stress the issue of discipline to the players during training to reduce the number of penalties being given as such incidents can decide the outcome of a match.

Meanwhile, In the Sanyo Cup matches yesterday, Nadroga thrashed Navosa by 41-8, Lautoka defeated Tailevu 25 points to 24, Nadi beat Naitasiri 26-10, Namosi outclassed Vatukoula by 11 points to 3 while Tavua recorded a victory over Ovalau by 13 points to nil and Suva defeated Northland by 20 points to 7.
