The Air Pacific Fiji Barbarians team will have to work on their discipline if they are to become the top contenders in the IRB Pacific Rugby Cup competition.

They lost their opening match 13-17 to Savai Samoa on Saturday after two Fijian players were sin-binned.

Wing Vima Tuidraki and Aseri Buli had to spend 10 minutes each on the sideline after they were shown the yellow card, which allowed Savai Samoa to come back and win the match. Fiji was leading 6-0 at the time of the sin-bin.

Fiji Barbarians coach Etuate Waqa said he would work on discipline and other areas of the team for this weekend's second round clash against defending champions Upolu Samoa at Lautoka's Churchill Park.

In the other Pacific Rugby Cup games this weekend, Air Pacific Fiji Warriors will travel to Samoa to face the Savai Samoa while Tau'uta Reds will play Tautahi Gold.
