According to Radio New Zealand, Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully confirmed the New Zealand High Commission in Fiji is to re-open next month after meeting with Fiji Foreign Affairs Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola over the weekend.
McCully described the meeting as fruitful.
It is understood that the Fiji High Commission in Wellington is to reopen with Mere Tora to take up the post of first secretary and acting head of mission.
The meeting follows a meeting between McCully, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola and Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith in Canberra earlier this month.
