The University of the South Pacific Workers Union has called on the University Board members to think of the repercussion of outsourcing dining hall services.

This is the call from the USP permanent hourly paid and intermediate and junior staff Union following a public announcement by USP that the Dining Hall services would be outsourced in the next two weeks.

Union General Secretary, Anasa Tuviniwai said that it was a real shock for the workers when management approached their members and told them that they had only two weeks of work left.
