The Nadi Weather Office has embarked on a new way to disseminate weather information to the Digicel mobile phone customers around the country who will now be able to access weather updates on their mobile phones.
Digicel Fiji and the Weather Office today launched the weather update subscription services and Director, Rajendra Prasad said this is part of their efforts to look for new ways to deliver weather forecasts to the people.
Prasad said they are also serious about improving their services.
Meanwhile, Digicel Fiji Director Marketing Niamh Byrne said they are pleased to be working together with the Weather office.
Digicel phone users will have to subscribe to access this service.
