With three days remaining for the deadline to register under the Telephone Services Decree, Digicel has asked Government for an extension to the time frame given.
The 30 day time frame for all telephone and mobile phone users to register ends this Saturday on the 21st of August.
However Digicel CEO Matt Davey said they have asked for an extension considering the logistics of getting to all their customers.
Davey added while they await the response from Government, Digicel continues to send out teams to try and get as many customer registered before the deadline.
All telephone and mobile phone users have until this Saturday to register under the Telephone Services Decree.
It has been made clear that telephone services for users who do not register within the 30 day time frame will be suspended as stated in the decree.
