The Communications Ministry is expected to issue a mobile phone operating license to Digicel within the next few days.
Interim Communications Minister Tom Ricketts confirmed that the license will be issued to Digicel by the end of the week.
Digicel has already started preparations to start operations in Fiji in October with recruitment of staff and setting up its base stations around the country.
