Digicel has today confirmed that their sponsorship with the Fiji Rugby Union is a long term plan.
Chief Executive John Delves while launching the Digicel Cup for 2009, said they will continue to sponsor the Fiji 7's team although their performance has not been up to par this season.
Delves also mentioned that if Fiji win's in Hong Kong this weekend, players and officials can expect a huge bonus from the sponsor.
Meanwhile Delves today presented a new set of uniforms to the 12 teams that will be competing in the Digicel Cup this season. The winner of this competition will again receive a prize-money of $20,000.
The Digicel Cup kicks off this Friday with the opening match between Naitasiri and Nadroga at Vodafone Ratu Cakobau Park.
