Dewes has been out of top level rugby action for the past five years and he is best remembered for scoring the winning try for the Flying Fijians against Wales in their last pool match at the 2007 World Cup.
Also named to attend the fitness test is former Chiefs Super Rugby winger Maretino Nemani.
The PRC will start on the 21st of next month in Australia and features Super Rugby franchise development sides from Australia competing against development squads from Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Japan and for the first time Argentina.
