Major development plans to try and lift the standard of living for the people of Gau in the Lomaiviti group are now underway.
Returning from his tour of the Lomaiviti group and Ovalau at the weekend, Minister for Primary Industries Joketani Cokanasiga said they are in the process of establishing a bio-diesel project in Gau.
Cokanasiga said Gau has been neglected for a long time and things are progressing well.
Meanwhile, Cokanasiga also visited the Serua Province and revealed that programs to increase agriculture output are working.
