The Fiji Secondary Schools soccer association says development of soccer in Fiji will be hampered as there will be no representation from the Northern Division in the Fiji Secondary schools soccer competition.
President, Aminesh Ram says a number of top players like Roy Krishna, Ilisoni Logaivou, Taione Kerevanua and Akuila Mateisuva have been developed at the secondary school level.
He is urging school Principals in the Northern Division to give their students a chance to develop their sporting talent.
The President of the Northern Principals Association, Kamlesh Prasad says all Principals in the North have decided not to participate in any sports in the second term as their focus is on academic work for term one and term two.
He says they do not have enough time to participate in sports in the second term.
