Developer Fun World Centre Limited has come under threat from contractors Max Construction Limited following claims that they have not paid for the construction of their complex in Namaka, Nadi.
According to spokesperson of Max Limited, Shiraaz Aiyub they are owed over $40 000 in wages and therefore are demanding that Fun World pay up.
However, General Manager Fun World Center, Mohamed Izaz Khan told Village news that they have already released more than 55 percent of their contract sum to Max limited.
According to Khan Fun World has paper work to prove that they have paid up.
The Ministry of Labour said if there is no solution reached after mediation talks between the parties they would have to direct the company to give the company an ultimatum to pay its workers within 7 days.
Fun World is constructing a multi story complex in Namaka which is expected to house a hotel, shopping mall, medical center and an aquatic park.
