With flood waters receding in the Western Division and parts of Rewa, residents affected are now starting to see the devastation caused by the raging flood waters over the past few days.
In Nadi, flood waters reached unprecedented levels and many residents were shocked to see rising waters in their area because their areas were never flooded.
For many severely affected, it is now time to pick up the pieces and make some hard decisions.
Many people that we have spoken to say they are already trying to get back on their feet but they know it will be tough.
Nadi businessman, Riyaz Ali said it will definitely be hard for many as people have lost everything.
There are scenes of all sorts of household items in the river and plantations in Nadi.
Ali said many people need assistance.
At the same time he is calling on the Water Authority of Fiji to increase water pressure to Nadi town so that the business houses can clean their shops.
