Strategies employed by Tourism Fiji in light of the devaluation of the Fiji dollar see the move to Super Value Deals which includes a 50 percent discount in hotel rates.
Chairman Patrick Wong, who said the 20 percent devaluation is a timely one as it cushions the effects of the global financial crisis, is of the view that people still see Fiji as a safe destination.
Wong said the tourism industry is moving forward with tourists still coming into the country, especially now since the devaluation.
