Detailed assessments of damages caused by the flooding to private property, crops, businesses, industries and the nation's infrastructure and related installations are expected to be completed by the end of this week.

Those were the words of interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama who said over the next week there will be the collation of facts and data to prepare comprehensive Reports for consideration by Cabinet.

Bainimarama also thanks the international community and Fiji's neighbors for extending a helping hand in the aftermath of destruction cause by recent flooding nationwide.

He said they will liaise further with the international community on the extent of damages incurred and the further financial help they would like to consider in helping Fiji recover from this.
