The election of the Deputy President of the Methodist Church of Fiji is part of the agenda in the upcoming annual conference where church ministers and delegates will attend next week.

Church General Secretary Reverend Ame Tugawe confirmed that the present deputy President Ratu Peni Volavola's one year term ends in January next year so he is expected to be replaced.

However, President Reverend Laisiasa Ratabacaca's term lasts for three years.

The heads of department will also be appointed including the Men's Department, Women's, Youth's and Sunday School.

Meanwhile, Reverend Tugawe cannot reveal further whether the People’s Charter will also be part of the agenda when the conference proper kicks off at Centenary Church.

The singing competition kicks off next Thursday at Furnival Park.
