A deposed minister in the Qarase government will appear in court later this week charged with drunk driving.
The deposed minister was arrested near the Rewa Dairy over the weekend after he was found drunk and driving.
He has been charged with Drunk driving and has been released on police bail to appear in court at a later date.
Meanwhile, a senior Fiji Rugby Union official has also been charged with Drunk Driving.
He was arrested on Friday night and was locked in the cell. He was charged on Saturday morning.
It is not clear when he will appear in court.
