The Fiji Law Society said it is ironic that the Fiji Times Publisher Evan Hannah's deportation occurs one day before the celebration of Media Freedom Day.
President Isireli Fa added that they understand the court order to produce Hannah in court at 3 this afternoon, was served to the appropriate authorities in good time for them to comply with the Court Order.
Fa said the matter of whether or not the interim government acknowledged the legitimacy of the Court Order, constitutes a turning point in the question of whether or not the Rule of Law is operating in Fiji.
