The Interim Labour Minister said investors should now expect a speedy response from the Department of Town and Country Planning, after the implementation of the recommendation of the review of the Department.
Lekh Ram Vayeshnoi has briefed cabinet on the status and progress of the review of the Department as of 30th June.
Vayeshnoi said concerns have been raised by investors on the approval process of capital projects, adding that with the new policy adopted by the Department, this work will not take long.
He added that the Ministry has already managed to resolve some pending capital projects.
Vayeshnoi added that work is underway in improving the communication aspect of the Department to ensure that the Department is appropriately staffed.
