Dengue Risk areas have been identified and the Health Ministry is aiming to target these areas for their anti-spraying and clean up campaign.
The dengue risk areas are Bulileka Lowcost Housing, Natua Housing/ Seaqaqa, Qawa Rd, Vunivau Rd / Paras Point and the Health Ministry in its bid to prevent further cases of dengue fever are providing free refuse collection in these areas.
The Health Ministry reiterates to residents in these areas, the need to get rid of all empty tins, bottles, tyres, overgrowth and rubbish.
There have been around 11 reported new cases of dengue in Labasa.
So far the number of reported dengue cases stands at more than a thousand.
