The Health Ministry has warned members of the public to take precautions as they have confirmed there is a Dengue Outbreak in the country.
It has been confirmed that nine people mostly from Central division have been affected so far.
Director Curative Health Services, Dr. Ami Chandra confirms health officials in a special meeting this morning discussed this issue at length.
Dr. Chand has highlighted number of symptoms of dengue fever as this is only spread after one has a mosquito bite.
Just going over that, symptoms of dengue fever are headache, vomiting, fever and weakness. It is spread by mosquitoes and people have been advised to destroy all mosquito breeding places in their compound.
