The Health Department in the North has reactivated their awareness program on Dengue Fever but not to an emergency level.
Acting General Manager Community Health Service Dr Pablo Romakin said for the past three months they have been having close to two reported cases a month from the rural areas in the Northern Division and at the moment are increasing their awareness program to these areas.
Yesterday, two women from Taveuni and from Savusavu were brought to Labasa Hospital and added the two are currently under surveillance.
This follows a World Health Organization warning of a Dengue outbreak.
