A high level Global Fund Delegation to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria is in Fiji to discuss and check on its aid programs in Fiji and the Pacific.

The delegation led by Fund Deputy Executive Director Helen Evans are here to meet high level representatives from the Health Ministry, Regional Organisations, the UN family of organisations, Development Partners and civil societies.

In the Pacific Region, the Global Fund has committed $116m since 2003 through until 2013, comprising $57.7m for the Pacific Multi-Country proposals which includes Fiji.

The Global Fund has been set up to dramatically increase resources to fight three of the world's most devastating diseases, HIV/AIDS, TB and Malaria and to direct those resources to areas of greatest need.
