The delegation from the Interim Government - which will leave for the ILO conference in Geneva next week - is anticipating questions to be raised at the forum on the impact of the December 5th takeover in 2006 on the workers in the country.
At a press conference this morning, Permanent Secretary for Labour Taito Waqa said while the meeting is on the progress on protecting the rights of workers, they expect questions to be raised on the political situation in Fiji.
Meanwhile, 39 member countries of the International Labour Organization are expected to be grilled at the 97th ILO conference in Geneva for contravening ILO conventions. However, Waqa said Fiji is not on that list.
Waqa will accompany the delegation led by interim Minister for Labour Lekh Ram Vayeshnoi to the ILO conference next week.
