Consumers may now have to wait a while longer for more television stations to start operating, as the Communications Ministry is currently battling with various technical matters regarding the Interim Government's decision to issue more free to air television licenses.
Interim Minister, Taito Waradi, confirms that they are looking into the frequencies which the television stations will operate on to ensure that there is no interference between operators.
Waradi also confirms that only one of the operators has been given the all clear to start providing services.
MAI TV Fiji Limited, Pacific Broadcasting Services Limited and Talei Vision are the other companies that have been given approval for free to air television licenses.
