Most of the villagers have their plantations beside the river and Ratu Lino said that most of their cash crops namely dalo and cassava were underwater at 4pm when the floodwaters rose.
No one was injured as most of the villagers moved to the Community Hall to look for shelter.
From Waidina in Naitasiri, DISMAC's Waisale Tora said the village of Vanuakula suffered extensive damages.
Residents of Deepwater in Tailevu have faced a full brunt of the cyclone as they await daylight to see the extent of the damages.
