In athletics team officials, are hopeful that veteran runner Jone Delai will recover in time and feature in the 4x100 meters relay on Saturday.
Delai pulled a hamstring injury in the mens 100 meters final after winning the gold.
Athletics Fiji coach, Albert Miller said they have other replacements if Delai fails to recover.
Meanwhile, the Fiji athletics team will try to win four gold medals today in the 400 meters finals which start at 5pm, the 1500 meters final starting at 3:40pm and also in the Javelin event which starts at 3:50pm.
