Defending Fiji Secondary School’s netball under 17 champion Vunisea Secondary from Kadavu will face an uphill battle this year.

The Vunisea girls will now compete in the under 19 grade where Suva Grammar School is the defending champion.

Team trainer Rusiate Talebulamai said some members of the winning team from last year will be back which includes the 4x400 meters relay team which came fourth in this year’s Coca-Cola Games.

Talebulamai added that last year’s winning skipper Adi Unisi Yabaki will lead the team again this year.

Natabua High School is the under 15 champion, Vunisea in the under 17 and Suva Grammar is the under 19 titleholder.

In the open grade, Saint John’s College from Levuka is the defending champion while Ratu Navula College is the men’s champions.

The Secondary School netball tournament will be held at Prince Charles Park this Thursday and Friday.
