Defending Champions of the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s Army Green kicked off their campaign on a high thrashing Cousteau Resort 33-0.
The side which has the services of Leone Nakarawa, Emosi Mulevoro, Vilitati Sokiveta and Sikeli Vuruna won comfortably in their first pool match.
Also former Fiji 7s rep Vereniki Goneva was outstanding as he scored a hatrick to help his team Yamacia Safari beat Baravi Cudas 29-0.
In other matches, Sakuvorowaqa lost 5-31 to Botaira Stingers, Marist 1 upset Uprising 17-0, Nasolo Young Boys beat Western Lautoka 24-7, Nawaka beat Nacula Eagles 12-5, Waqavuka Rugby edged Senibiau Rugby 5-0, Covenant Brothers lost 7-12 to FTG Rugby, Matacaucau 7s beat FSM Blues 19-0, Waimanu 1 thrashed Cunningham Youth 34-5, Lomaiviti Babas lost 5-7 to Cakaudrove Warriors, Rosi Rugby beat Mavana Rugby 19-7 while Sacred Heart beat Namoli Rugby 29-0.
