Police managed to score a last minute try to win the match by 21‑7. Police was leading 7‑0 at halftime.

Tournament Organizer Jay White says they are happy to have a big crowd on Day One.

Meanwhile the Aussie Thunderbolts look impressive in the heat as they ran across four tries against Uprising. The Aussies won 24‑5.

In another match, former national 7s playmaker William Ryder played a full game but could not help his team get on the scoreboard.

Ryder and the FWCC Red Rock was thrashed by Wardens 29‑0.

In other results, Westfield Dragons beat Daveta 21-5, Uluinakau beat Outrigger Beach Resort 19-12, Yamacia edged Hideaway 7-5 while Tabadamu drew 12 all with Coastal Ratu Filise.
