The Air Pacific Fiji Under-21 netball defenders fought hard in the 43-31 win against Botswana yesterday.
Speaking to Fijivillage from The Edgewater Auditorium in the Cook Islands, team manager Selina Kuruleca said the defenders were very aggressive and were really good.
However, Kuruleca added that despite the win, the team still has a lot of areas to improve on.
The team will have two training sessions today before their third pool game in the World Youth Netball Championships against South Africa at 10am tomorrow.
A win against South Africa will be enough for the Melissa Walker coached side to reach the quarterfinals.
Fiji still sits in second position with 8 points with Australia leading the group also with the same points but the Australians enjoy a better point’s difference.
