The Social Welfare Ministry has revealed that there has been a decrease in the number of females living in villages.
Interim Social Welfare Minister Dr Jiko Luveni said she visited villages in Viti Levu, Vanua Levu and outer islands recently and she had been told majority of females have moved to urban areas.
Dr Luveni said the interim government are currently focusing on bring investments to rural areas and outer islands, which they believe can be a solution to urban drift.
