The Agriculture Ministry expects a huge decrease of vegetable supplies at various markets in the Western Division in the next few days.
Permanent Secretary, Colonel Mason Smith who is touring drought stricken areas in the Western Division said the shortage will be evident even after November.
He has called on farmers to work with them and to contact their officers if they need assistance.
