It was good news for the people of the Rewa province after the Police revealed to the Provincial Council meeting that crime within the province has decreased this year when compared to last year.
That was the word from the Officer in Charge at the Nausori Police Station, ASP Sakiusa Tikotani to the chiefs.
Tikotani also highlighted that the Police Stations that looks after the Rewa province namely Wainibokasi, Nausori and Koronivia have recorded an increase in reports this year.
However another Police Station that also looks after Rewa has recorded an increase in the crime rate this year.
Tikotani said the most crime committed is sexual harassment and this is believed to have happened in settlements outside Suva.
The Rewa Provincial Council ended yesterday.
