The Transport Ministry has recorded a decrease in the number of government vehicles that have been abused during working hours.
Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainaibete said their vehicle monitoring system has been good so far.
She added that government vehicles are no longer allowed to be parked at the driver’s house and the Ministry of Finance has to give the clearance for the use of vehicles after hours.
Waqainaibete said any employee found driving government vehicle after hours without approval will be taken to task.
