A decision on whether or not the Fiji Electricity Authority will be granted their fuel tariff increase will be made as soon as Wednesday as the Commerce Commission has wrapped up their analysis on the submission.
Commission Chairman, Dr Mahendra Reddy said the final decision has been reached.
Though not revealing much detail, Dr Reddy adds that this paper will be tabled at the Commission's monthly meeting tomorrow.
Earlier this month, confusion reigned after Cabinet gave the green light for the increase in tariff of 15% from September 1st without the approval of the Commission.
FEA Chairman, Nizam Ud Dean earlier said that cabinet had granted them the increase however they would await the approval from the Commerce Commission who would make the final decision.
