The events of December 5th last year in Fiji should not be grouped together with some of the coups in Africa.
That’s the comment of Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama to the international community, as he said that the takeover in December was done for a totally different reason.
The Interim PM also stresses that he wants a type of democracy which is more than just winning the elections with majority seats in parliament and becoming cabinet ministers.
