The dates are now confirmed for Laisenia Qarase's trial against Commodore Frank Bainimarama and the military regarding the events of December 5th, 2006.
High Court Judges, Acting Chief Justice Anthony Gates, Justice John Bryne and Justice Davendra Pathik who are presiding over the case, will sit for a pre-trial conference and an interlocutory hearing on Tuesday the 29th of January, 2008.
The Leading Counsels, Qarase's QC Nye Perram and State QC Gerrard McCoy, must attend the pre-trial to clarify matters regarding the case.
The trial proper is now set to get underway on the 4th of March 2008 in the Supreme Court.
When the case got underway last week, legal counsels from both sides could not come to an agreement on certain crucial facts in the case and the list of witnesses.
