Rumours has circulated that Deans’ time in charge could come to an end after Australia’s final match of the Rugby Championship, a difficult away fixture against Argentina.

The Wallabies produced an error-strewn display at home against the All Blacks two weeks ago in Sydney and followed it up by failing to score a single point last weekend at Eden Park, the first time Australia have been nilled by New Zealand since 1962.

Deans is under contract to continue as Australia coach until after the British & Irish Lions arrive on tour next year, but the manner of the defeats in the first two matches of the Rugby Championship has left his position open to scrutiny.
