Wallabies coach Robbie Deans has full faith that young winger James O’Connor will return to form in front of the kicking tee in Durban on Sunday.

O’Connor had a rare off-night when he missed all three of his attempts at goal at Eden Park last weekend, but the Wallabies are confident the 21 year old will avoid a repeat in the pressure cooker, Kings Park, when they clash with the Springboks this weekend.

Quade Cooper stepped up to land both his kicks in Auckland but Deans insisted that the flyhalf had taken over because it was planned he would take the longer range shots and not because O’Connor had lost confidence.

The Springboks will take on the Wallabies on Sunday at 3am.
