The first day of the Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast 7s has produced some interesting results with defending champions Police leading their pool.
Police tops Pool A after defeating Germany 21‑7 and edged Westfield Dragons 17‑14 while Westfield Dragons and Shangri‑La Daveta still have a chance to qualify if they win their games tomorrow with a big margin.
In Pool B, the Aussie Thunderbolts won both their games and are now leading their pool. Uluinakau and Outrigger also have the chance to qualify for the main quarters if they win their games tomorrow with a big margin.
Pool C has been described as the Pool of Death which includes Tabadamu, Yamacia, Hideaway and Coastal Ratu Filise.
Tabadamu is currently leading the pool while Yamacia and Hideaway are fighting for the second spot.
Tabadamu captain Seteafano Cakau says they bounced back after their draw with Ratu Filise this morning.
Wardens look good to top Pool D after they thrashed Red Rock 29‑0 and hammered Suva Stallions 21‑5.
