The ongoing saga as to whether former Fiji netball Coach Vilimaina Davu will be allowed to play in the inaugural trans-Tasman netball competition is set to drag on for at least another week.

The Northern Mystics launched their appeal close to two weeks ago after Davu's bid to play in the championship was turned down early last month.

A three-person appeal panel has since been appointed, but the details of when the hearing will be held are yet to be determined.

However, it is expected the hearing will take place late next week, just three weeks before the start of the competition.
