The Davetalevu 7s team from Fiji was beaten in the Club Cup final of the Borneo Invitational Sevens tournament in Malaysia.
The Peni Rokodiva captained side lost to Negeri Sembilan Wanderers side by 10 points to 7.
Davetalevu had earlier beaten NS Wanderers in the Pool match by 19-12 but could not repeat the same when the two teams met in the final.
Davetalevu will now compete in the Singapore 7s tournament this weekend.
Meanwhile the Tomasi Cama coached Borneo Eagles took out the Club Plate after beating Combined Old Boys Rugby Association by 26 points to 10.
