The Daveta rugby team has won the inaugural Limerick World Club 7's after beating Vancouver Bears in the final 36-12 yesterday in Ireland.

Despite losing to Munster in the pool games, the Fijian based club managed to regroup and show their skills and brilliance in the tournament.

Jerry Tuwai was awarded the player of the Tournament award with his enterprising plays.

In the quarter final, Daveta came back and beat Munster 12‑10 before defeating Auckland 26-17 in the first semi‑final.

The Daveta sevens side comprises of a few Nadroga players and other players who are in the national sevens squad.
