The Daveta rugby team from Nadroga defeated Wellington 31-19 in cup final of the Central Coast 7s in Australia last night.
Daveta had players like Emosi Vucago, Jerry Tuwai, Apisai Domolailai, Viliame Mata, Eremasi Radrodro and Levani Kurimudu.
The Nadroga based club also walked away with a cash prize of $34,000 Fijian dollars after winning the final.
Daveta defeated Red Rock 24-12 in their semifinal match.
Meanwhile, the Telecom Fijiana side lost to Australia 24-10 in the semifinals of the women’s competition.
