Wardens 7s rover and former Labasa soccer goalkeeper Filipo Daugunu will not be part of the Vodafone Fiji 7s extended squad preparing for the Las Vegas and Vancouver 7s next month.
Coach Ben Ryan confirms that Daugunu has taken up a contract offered to him by a Brisbane Broncos development club.
Ryan was disappointed but wished Daugunu well.
Ryan adds some other players did not turn up to camp yesterday.
Meanwhile 20-year-old Daugunu is expected to leave the country next month.
His name was announced earlier this week to join the national sevens side extended squad.
He was playing for the Labasa soccer last year and was picked for the Fiji Under 23 soccer team.
He left soccer to play rugby mid last year.
Fiji is pooled with Samoa, France and Argentina at the Las Vegas 7s which will be held from the 5th to the 7th of next month.
Fiji will play its first pool game against Samoa at 1.19pm on 5th March.
