The 6th session of the Bose ni Turaga scheduled for next month will not convene till His Excellency the President, Ratu Josefa Iloilo returns from his medical check in Australia.

Tui Vuda has agreed to formally open the two day Bose ni Turaga meeting to be held at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Delainabua.

Minister for Indigenous Affairs, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau confirms the dates for the 6th session Bose ni Turaga meeting has been moved to the 16th and 17th of next month.

Ratu Epeli said that the Interim Government wishes to make it clear that the Bose ni Truaga is not a substitute for the Great Council of Chiefs as each have their own specific roles, functions and membership.

Ratu Epeli said the meeting at QEB is an open Forum for the 215 chiefs to talk and there are no restrictions.
