Even Darth Vader from Star Wars got a mention during the National Budget debate in parliament.
In an animated performance in parliament, Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum asked Opposition Whip Ratu Isoa Tikoca for proof after Tikoca made several interjections accusing the government of corruption.
The issue came up after Opposition MP Viliame Gavoka said that to have a meaningful budget session next year, the Opposition will need two days with the government ministries.
Gavoka said they would like to be briefed on details by the civil servants.
Sayed-Khaiyum says the opposition should understand that it is not the government of the day.
