Fiji born England 7s star Isoa Damudamu has been ruled out of the next two legs of the IRB Sevens World Series in Wellington and Las Vegas.

Damudamu, who helped England win the New Zealand International 7s last year with his winning try in the final, is injured.

England 7s Coach Ben Ryan said Damudamu, who sustained a shoulder injury while playing for his Royal Logistics Corps earlier this week, will be surely missed in the next two tournaments.

Ryan has added Cambridge's Tom Powell as injury replacement for Damudamu.

Ryan in his 12-man squad has named many new comers while Ben Gollings is the only experienced player in the side.

England at the New Zealand International 7s tournament is the top seed in Pool C and will play against USA, Tonga and Kenya on Day One.

The New Zealand International 7s tournament starts next Friday in Wellington.
